Attention curlers and fans, the 26th Annual Heart to Heart Celebrity Spiel will be in Sudbury, Ontario April 26-29/07 and everyone is welcome! After 25 years of success in Thunder Bay raising more than $800,000 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, it was time for a new and energetic committee to take over and continue the excitment and FUNdraising that this spiel is so famous for. Invites are being sent out daily to fill the 24 Celeb Skip spots but if you are interested in coming as a skip and you haven't received an invite, it's probally because I don't have your email address. Please send it to me and we'll get you in. As for the rest of you, the cost to curl with your favorite skip that weekend is only $100 and a handfull of pledges so be sure to contact me if you are interested in coming.
It is with great pride that the original Heart to Heart Committee passes on the tradition of a great fundraising event for charity, to the folks in Sudbury. In the 25 years of association with the event, it has always been our intent to have the curling community give back and I am absolutely certain the new committee in Sudbury will continue with that tradition.
I wish them nothing but the best and I hope the Celebrity Skips and the curling population in general will get behind them 100%, just as they did in Thunder Bay.
