i personally don't know of any new teams. i am willing to bet most of the teams stay the same here in Minnesota. Wisconsin my have a new team of two. kinda early to be talking about new teams don't you think?
Not early to be talking about new teams at all, especially if you want to be a new, good team. I would think the Carlson team will stay the same in MN Jr. Women but I know Molly Bonner has a year of juniors left and hopefully she will play. Who knows what the Bahr team will be and the dominators, Plys, will stay the same and will probably go undefeated again.
Time to take back two medals for the US this year.
"Time to take back two medals for the US this year."
I like your optimism, but I'm not sure there is a women's team out there that can do that. Most of the women's teams have not acquired enough experience to medal at worlds. Just my thoughts.
As for the men's side, it doesn't matter what any teams do. It is clear that Plys will easily win nationals and most likely medal at worlds again.
i think with the right players a womens team from the USA can medal. the ability is out there. they just need to get together and hope the team has good chemistry together. i know its a long shot for all that to work out but i firmly believe our USA girls have it in them. and the season is barely over. no one really wants to talk curling let alone talk about a team for next year. i still think its too early but you make a good point.
Do we see a Nina Molly reunion from when Nina took her as a 5th. I think this team could do a lot of damage. If you put that Hamilton girl at the 2 position where she blongs you never no what can happen. All of those girls can hit with up weight!! They will just have work on the draw game! I hope to see it.. Not sure what will happen with new teams on the boys side???
i know becca really enjoys playing with jenna haag and anna plys. so just because there are better players out there does not mean they will have the chemestry needed to win another national championship. without a doubt molly would be a good pick up but that team got along ok. who knows what one more year of playing together could do. just a thought. i honestly have no idea what my sisters plans are or what there team is going to do. this is my opinion and could be completely wrong so do not think what i say is what is going to happen with them. i stay out of my sisters team stuff.
Saw a few of the Jr. Men's champs over the past couple days in Grand Forks. Their accomplishments are great, but aren't they still juniors and all underage? Is it good for them to be obviously drunk in public? I'm all about having fun, but there comes a point were you need to be responsible and set an example.
They did a really nice job Thursday night and were wonderful at the worlds!!!!!! Thats what counts..... We need to embrace that and look towards the future!!! Let worry about getting both team on the medal stand next year!!!! Go USA.... We have a bright future!!!!
Lots of rumors out there this weekend about teams forming. Any word on the Bonner and Spitola hook up? What will happen with the other girls from that team? Sounds like both girls & Guys teams from MN will stick together. What is happening out east and west??
Dang it, people, have a little heart and common sense. Ya'll know that Hammy posts of this site. Talking about his role on his team is cold and stupid. You could be driving apart a World Championship team!
Hammy, have fun in the Twin Cities. Try not to cuss infront of the State Legislature. When you throw out the first pitch at the Twin's game, get it all the way there without bouncing it...or just let your sister throw it for you. Just kidding.
Word on the street is Team wald dropped Wilson their third. I hear that they are trying to get Bahr to replace him. This is definately a surprise to me. There is no word on what Wilson is going to do yet.
Who are the new teams that you have heard of?
That is what usually happens... If there weren't new teams.... there wouldn't be any Juniors. Strange how that works.

I hear Molly Bonner is going to curl Juniors for sure this year plus Women's. The Jr. women need her.

Steph Jensen has a year left too, although she's been curling on a Women's team.
Jr. Women - Nina or Molly skip??, one of them 3rd, Becca at 2nd(good choice) and who at lead I wonder?

nice try no good, but I've seen them all weekend and they have been fine reps of the USA. Crawl back into your hole.

Plys might be shaken up his lead.
I heard that too. Wonder if there is any truth to it?

Matt's spot on that team is secure. I think we are seeing some curler-envy in this thread.
